Shared Transport iPhone app to roll out in December
Avego is pleased to announce that we will soon be re-launching our revolutionary Shared Transport iPhone application with a completely redesigned user experience and a plethora of major new capabilities.

Some of the most significant enhancements in version 2.0, which is due for release in December, include:
Real-time carpools. Shared Transport has always been more advanced than traditional carpooling, as Avego users know. Now, for the first time, some of the benefits of Shared Transport, such as real-time passenger information, are coming to members of traditional carpools.
Routes without pre-recording. The Avego experience requires that the driver indicate where they are driving. In earlier releases, this required the driver to record the route the first time they drove it, before making the route available to other riders. Now, drivers will no longer need to record the routes they drive. Instead, it’s possible for drivers to be matched with potential passengers from their very first journey.
Pre-created stop network. For greater ease of use, the 2.0 experience will be pre-populated with 150,000 convenient stop locations, reducing the effort it would have taken users previously to create shareable routes.
International versions. Although the app has been used in more than 60 countries worldwide, it has only been available in English. With version 2.0, the app will initially be available in three languages, with more to follow.
These are just some of the great new features that we have been working on ever since the original release of the iPhone app in December of 2008.
Keep an eye on the Avego website for more information about this upcoming release in the weeks ahead.
