Antonio Carrasco, one of Avego’s newest hires, contracted the travel bug at a young age. Hailing from El Puerto de Santa Maria in the province of Cadiz, Spain, the sight of Africa only 13km away must have been what first aroused his curiosity. After visiting France and Portugal, he knew he was hooked and has been traversing the globe ever since.
His connection with Avego began in a seemingly innocent job fair in Madrid. He had never intended to move to Ireland, but the role seemed to tick all his boxes: mainly javascript programming, some PHP, a fun environment and, most importantly, he got to travel!
Antonio loves the idea behind Avego RTR. He is excited about the potential it has to help people in their daily commute and to contribute to the mitigation of ever-growing environmental problems. He’s busy working on cool new features in the application and he’s also involved in our current revamp of the Avego desktop and mobile websites – so keep your eyes peeled for Antonio’s work on your screens in the near future!
