Security is incredibly important to everyone and we are no different. One of the biggest hurdles to ridesharing is the concept of getting into a car with a someone you don’t know. This can be a bit daunting the first time, so here’s a few of the steps we have taken to make you feel more secure about becoming an Avego-er:
- Upload a photo to your profile. This may seem like a small thing, but it is much more reassuring when looking for a ride to have an image of the person you will be sharing with.
- The Avego app has a built-in rating system so that each driver can be rated by the riders who they share with. Reliable, friendly drivers naturally get the highest scores and therefore rise to the top of our rating system – so you can feel even more comfortable when ridesharing by choosing them.
- The GPS tracking software in your smart phone allows us to track the precise location of the car you are riding in at all times.
- Try providing a confirmation number or email. Avego-ers will often use their work email, allowing others to see who they are and where they work.
- The Avego app allows you to form your own ridesharing groups – these can be made up of friends, neighbours, colleagues or anyone you would like to add to your personal Avego community.
