Radio Alice Takes to the Highways with Avego

On BART Strike Day 2, San Francisco’s hot ‘Sarah & Vinnie Morning Show’ on Radio Alice teamed up with Avego to offer 5 lucky commuters a private ride to and from work – the kicker being that listeners got to journey along with the show’s very own sidekick Hooman, who broadcast live updates mid-journey.

Fortunately for Hooman and his 5 companions, they were traveling in the fast lane thanks to Avego’s revolutionary app. Ridesharing in the HOV lane meant they flew past the grinding traffic on their way into the city. This was just another win in Avego’s mission to help stranded Bay Area commuters during the BART strike.

“Owing to the explosion in traffic as well as expensive and unavailable parking, Dante’s Inferno has now been realized in the streets of San Francisco” said Avego CEO Sean O’Sullivan. “The only way to escape this hell is to rideshare and access the HOV lane – it’s as simple as that.”

“Morning commuters are our lifeblood.  We’re happy to do anything we can do to help them avoid the misery of the crushing traffic” said Uzette Salazar, Radio Alice morning show producer.

Hooman was clearly happy with the speedy commute past gridlocked traffic as he announced live on air “Avego is better than BART.”
