Okay, I will admit it. I am as addicted to my Barackberry as our new president, but I do have occasional iPhone envy. Especially when I read about the cool green apps you can get for it:
– Better World Shopper – For $10 you can get a guide on your phone that rates companies by their social and environmental records, including human rights, animal protection, the environment, social justice and community involvement. The idea is to then vote with your wallet.
– Good Guide is similar, it compares the records of two similar products or you can look up products you use. It is free, but it is still in beta version.
– Avego – This iPhone app lets you figure out ride sharing. Save on gas and emissions, plus you can always be in the carpool lane! The beta download is free.
