Everyone here at Carma has made resolutions for 2015. From crushing it at a local gym, to attempting some Tuvan throat singing, we’ve all resolved to push ourselves. And of course that means the app doesn’t escape our focus.
‘Match me’ in 2014
In the most recent version, we matched you to your next upcoming trip. If that trip didn’t suit you, you had to make your way to your profile, edit the offending trip or turn it off to see the next suitable trip. A lot of steps for people who just wanted to check matches and see possibilities.
The fact we needed you to open a separate area to tweak trips wasn’t going to cut it this year. It was downright annoying to try and match against other trips.
Presenting the 2015 ‘Match me’
So we looked at a better way to help the normal flow of setting up a trip, seeing the matches for that trip and amending small details. We have now moved the ‘Trips’ functionality right into the heart of ‘Match me’, allowing you to manage, edit, add and search for matching Carmapools on a single screen. Now you can access your trips at any time by clicking on the top orange bar in the ‘Match me’ screen. This will reveal your trips, their current status and allow you to choose one by simply clicking on it. You can even add a trip right there without leaving the screen.
Selecting any other trip, even if turned off, will allow you to see the best matches for that trip. So you can create as many trip schedules as you want, swap between them and tweak them by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the trip.
As much as we hope that these changes help make your commute a little smoother, this would be the equivalent of warming up for the throat singing. The full chorus of improvements that this heralds are coming down the line and will make reaching out and getting there together that much easier. To 2015!
