Keeping Agile

Gas prices, high traffic volumes, and poor air quality around metropolitan areas have an increasingly disabling impact on all our lives. At Avego we started a revolution to stop the madness and actually do something practical and FREE to make life a lot easier for everyone. The ridesharing community is growing and changing. Since the first release of the Avego Driver app and the Riderboard we have learned a fantastic amount about the different ways people like to use use our software. And we have adapted and improved the app accordingly.
How ? Well, we’ve recently added a great feedback mechanism so users can let us know exactly how their trip went. This feedback, combined with all the comments we get from our pilot teams across the US and Europe, help directly guide the next set of improvements.

The Avego Real-time Ridesharing Team have been gearing up our development cycles to be more like sprints, so customer suggestions can become cool new features within as little as 3 weeks. This allows users to experience real change – fast ! Another tactic we’ve adopted is to include a group of seasoned commuters in our own beta programs, giving them direct access to the very latest upgrades. These users help bring the development team down onto the streets where the ridesharing action is really happening. And that’s a much better way for us to make a positive difference to the metropolitan lifestyle of thousands of people.

  1. Hi Emmanuel,

The best way to see what’s possible in your area is to browse to http://m.avego.com and see the schedules of others users in your area.

As you will see, we have small pockets of activity in cities like Geneva and Zurich, but these are still early days and we look forward to growing these communities further.

If you are interested in helping to build a real-time ridesharing community in your area, please send us an email – we’d love to hear from you.

    Emmett
